For most of us, February can be a very lackluster part of the year. Allow us to try and lift your spirits.
We’re releasing one my favorite red blends, the 2014 Calliope Winemaker’s Reserve, this weekend, February 6 & 7. What’s the big excitement, you ask?
All four varieties that make up this blend are 100% from Callaway’s own vineyards and 2014 is the first vintage where we’ve harvested Mourvedre, Cinsault and Grenache. The Syrah comes from an older, established vineyard that you can actually see from the tasting room or from a higher vantage point in The Vu.
The conception of the Calliope blend came from my love and passion for the wines of Southern France. Taste and enjoy our new creation and, hopefully, it will give you a feeling of a sunny day on the Mediterranean.
